The Circle of Filk
Vielen Dank an alle Mitwirkenden!
This filk song is about my experiences at my first Filk convention (the DFDF), which I could perform at my second one (the Filkcontinental) with a great choir. Thanks to all for making this happening!

The Circle of Filk
TTTO: Circle of Life, Elton John and Hans Zimmer
Text: Daniela Festi
Choir: Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala (repeat)
From the moment I had this idea,
There was music along with it
And right from the start
It played in my heart
But I never thought I could sing it
Then I came to this convention
Wondered whether my song would fit
But then someone told me
It is just so easy
Come with me, grab a chair and sit
In a circle of filk, it's a wheel of music
It's a leap of faith, it's a band of fun
And I dared to sing, it was all starting
In a circle, a circle of filk
Some of us keep it simple,
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles,
Some have words for all our scars
There is quite a lot to filk about,
Films and books, serials, games abound
So just write down your verse
(you might want to rehearse)
And than sing it in the endless round
In a circle of filk, it's a wheel of music
It's a leap of faith, it's a band of fun
And I dared to sing, it was all starting
In a circle, a circle of filk
